Comprehension Open-ended. Read the passage below and answer questions 39 to 43. Your answers must be based on the passage.
Passage: Under the bright studio lights, many young contestants stood excitedly at the starting line. Among them were Ali, Jack, Mei and Siti. The lively host, Max Thunder, beamed at the camera. "Welcome to Adventure Quest Juniors! Today, you'll race through fun challenges that test your teamwork, quick thinking and resilience. Ready, set, go!"
The pairs were set – Jack and Siti, Ali and Mei. The first challenge awaited them – a giant inflatable obstacle course. "Your task is to make it through the course without dropping your beanbag!" Max called out.
Jack and Siti each clutched one end of the beanbag. With determination, they scrambled through tunnels and bounced over barriers. Jack almost dropped their beanbag, but Siti gripped it tightly. "We've got this! Teamwork makes the dream work!" she cheered.
Meanwhile, Ali and Mei tackled the course with great skill. "Slow and steady wins the race," Mei reminded gently. Ali stumbled but grinned. "We'll get it right together!"
The next challenge was to build a tower. Each pair had to run to a game station to collect giant blocks and stack them to form the tallest tower.
Unfortunately, Siti dropped a block, but Jack said, "It's all right." He stopped and waited for her.
Ali and Mei worked in perfect rhythm. Ali clapped elatedly as Mei placed the last block just before the buzzer sounded.
"And the winners are .. Ali and Mei!" Max announced. "Remember, when you believe in your teammates and never give up, you can achieve anything!"
Jack and Siti whooped with joy. "Congratulations!" they cheered as one.
