Yap Chin Wei is the founder and engineer behind LearnBuddy. Based in Singapore, he's a Senior Software Engineer with over a decade of professional experience in mobile and web development.

As a parent of school-age children, he built LearnBuddy to give every Singapore family access to high-quality, syllabus-aligned tutoring — not just those who can afford private tuition. He designs and builds the platform end to end: the real-time AI voice tutor, the interactive whiteboard, and the practice library spanning Math, Science, English, and Mother Tongue for Primary 1–6.

All LearnBuddy practice content is aligned to the Singapore MOE primary syllabus and reviewed for accuracy before publishing. Chin Wei stands personally behind every tool and resource the platform publishes.
