How does Full Subject-Based Banding work after the PSLE?

Full Subject-Based Banding (Full SBB) replaces the old Express / Normal streams with three Posting Groups based on the PSLE Score. Students are posted to a Posting Group but can offer individual subjects at a higher band, so a child strong in Maths can take it at a more demanding level even if their overall Posting Group is lower.

What changed for parents

The secondary school experience is now organised around subjects rather than a single stream label. Class allocation mixes students across Posting Groups for common subjects, and the certificate at the end is a common national certificate rather than separate Express / Normal ones.
