Odd & Even Number Patterns

Every whole number is one of two kinds: even or odd.

Here's the secret we'll uncover:

Even numbers split into equal pairs with none left over. Odd numbers always have one lonely one left over.

🧦 Pair them up!

An even number of socks makes perfect pairs. Tap the socks two at a time to pair them up.

🧦 What about 7 socks?

Try pairing 7 socks. Watch what happens to the last one — that "leftover" is the clue for odd.

You don't have to draw socks for big numbers! Just look at the last digit.
